The origin of the Cecílio Group goes back to 1949, when its founder, Francisco Pereira Cecílio, developed the first machines to process the pine nut.

The focus on innovation leads to a recognition in the national and international market. Currently, the Cecílio Group exports about 75% of the annual production of pine nuts, mainly to the USA and Italy where the pine nut is essential in condiments and sweets.

In addition to the pine nuts handling and commercialization, Cecílio has in its range of products the rice production and commercialization, benefiting from its privileged location in the Ribatejo flastlands and its extraordinary resources that allows it to contribute for the local gastronomy preservation.
